This contest is open to all high school seniors who will graduate at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and are planning to attend an accredited university or college in the Fall of 2026. The winner of the contest will receive a scholarship from NAUW Jamaica Rockaway Branch in the amount of $1,500.

2) What are you most passionate about and how will you align it with your future goals?

The essay must be doubled-spaced with a minimum of 500 words, an introduction, body, and conclusion. It must be typed in American Psychological Association (APA) format using Times New Roman 12-point font.

 Submission requirements are:

Winners are required to provide proof of registration before awards are distributed. Awards will be provided directly to the winner by the Jamaica Rockaway Branch. The deadline for the submission of the essay and the requirements listed above is April 15, 2026.
